We make our chestbeds with a plywood platform that replaces the need of a box spring, saving you even more space. One of the best features of our chestbeds is that the drawer and style of the bed are all up to you! Would you like 6 drawers? or maybe 18? If you want night stands then we will move the drawers so that they all open and clear the night stand, or maximize the size of every drawer. Feel free to bring in a sketch or drawing of any ideas you have for your chestbed.

More floor space will make the room look larger. A chestbed is a platform type bed that allows for storage underneath. The platform bed came into its heyday during the water bed era and has evolved into the modern chestbed. Chestbeds are sensible, handsome and economic, making them an intelligent solution for many bedrooms. The price of a chestbed will start at the same price as a quality dresser. Our chestbeds can be designed in sizes twin through king.

Natural Choice Chestbeds come in a variety of storage configurations. Take into account the size of your mattress before you shop. Your mattress countered with the desired height of the finished chestbed will help determine some of your custom drawer space. Other than that there are a wide range of options. Most standard are the six drawer (three drawers on each side), the twelve drawer (six drawers on each side); and anything in between. We add a standard end door to the foot of the bed to take advantage of extra space. Our deep, long, end drawer is a popular option. Drop in storage is a practical solution if your small space is limited on one side of the bed.

Many people choose to add our Slant Headboard to their chestbeds. These headboards have cubby storage with sliding doors. Another option is the electrical harness inset into the headboard, which offers the convenience of two plug- ins, a light dimmer and a phone jack. Matching nightstands with a pull-out table are available.

Natural Choice Chestbeds are ideal for our Temper-pedic mattress. Temper-pedic’s require a solid wood platform in order to maintain their warranty. We can make the bed platform at a slight angle for those requiring an elevated head, avoiding the cost of an adjustable base.
